Identity creation begins with client-designer consultations, using our "Discovery" process to find out who you are, where you want to go, what you want to be. Are you a car dealer? Or a Transportation Source? Do you "do hair" or are you a "Hair Designer?" Do you want to own your own brick and mortar, or would you rather consult and help others build their own business.
Discovery often produces interesting suprises. The logo you thought you loved might not work with all the applications, for example. Or, the presentation you pictured may give the wrong or confusing message. During Discovery, we work together to come up with somethig that identifies you, yet will translate comfortably to various visual media. What looks great on a business card might look lousy on a building sign, for example. Together, we look at the big picture, then figure out the best way to present it right down to the smallest presentation increment such as your business card.
Designing the right logo is the first and most important step in visual branding, but whatever you choose needs to be compact, succinct, and not overpower your message, but compliment it. It also needs to be part of your branding effort, but not all of it.
Branding encompasses audio as well as visual, and visual is more than a printed image. Think of Budweiser's Clydsdale horses. Or Wells Fargo's stage coach. These familiar visual images appear, with sound effects, on UTube, television, internet clips. They also appear as static images on letterhead, business cards, website headers.
